Application Guidelines

Clean the surface right before lamination because dust and other suspended particles may quickly stick to the surface. The best cleaning results are achieved with a dry and a non-fuzzing microfibre cloth. Please watch out particularly for areas where angles and edges of the graphics will be.

The film is applied in a dry state.

 Surfaces to which the material will be applied must be thoroughly cleaned and free from dust, grease or any other contamination that could affect the adhesion of the material.

 Freshly lacquered or painted surfaces should be allowed to dry for at least three weeks and to completely cure.

 The compatibility of selected lacquers and paints should be tested by the user, prior to application of the material.

Not recommended for surfaces such as: • roughly structured surface • Concrete, cement wall, unpainted plaster • freshly painted surfaces (not dried) • areas with dirt-repellent surface • moist room walls (e.g. bathroom, garage) or even just damp walls • dirty walls (e.g. nicotine, fat) • hard-to-stick surfaces (e.g. old wall paper)

Removability

Environment and surface temperature must be at least + 20° C before these films can be removed. Using a knife, first lift up cautiously one corner of the film. Then slowly draw the film from the surface at a 180° angle. Heating the film with a hot-air gun while pulling makes removal considerably easier. If the film being removed is very old, a small amount of residue from the adhesive may remain on the surface. It can be removed easily with varnish thinner.
